A collaboration

Our Hopes and Dreams for Bedworth is a mural on the Bedworth Library, which was co-created with professional street artist Nathan Parker (n4t4) and students from Nicholas Chamberlaine School.

The artists

Well done to these amazing co-creators for sharing their vision of the future using their team-working skills, critical thinking and creativity!

The artists speak about their experience in the short film Exploring Potential, Creatively.

The process

In Autumn 2024, the artists took part in a series of workshops. They researched the history of Bedworth, visualised the future they wanted for their town and learnt new skills.

They then used their creativity to put it all together into co-creating the mural.

Celebration

On Friday 10th January 2025, a celebration event was held inside the Bedworth Library for the 10 artists. Representatives of A.R. Cartwright who installed the mural were among the attendees.

Reflections

What some of the artists said about being part of the project:

“It made me feel inspired.”

“My ideas were listened to.”

“It made me feel more confident…”

“I hope I can do more project like this.”

“It was fantastic and very creative, and I will surely want to do it again.”
